Privacy Policy

Effective: May 2026

WellWaterTrust (“WellWaterTrust,” “we,” “us”) operates a matching service that connects homeowners with vetted ELAP-certified water-testing labs and WQA-credentialed filtration installers. This policy explains what information we collect on wellwatertrust.com, how we use it, and who we share it with.

The short version

1. Information we collect

When you submit the lead form, we collect the fields you provide: ZIP code, requested test or service, water situation (well vs. city, prior result, etc.), name, email address, phone number, and any free-text notes. We also automatically capture the URL of the page where you submitted the form and the timestamp of submission.

We do not collect health information, financial information, social security numbers, government IDs, or precise location data beyond the ZIP code you enter. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Cookies and analytics

WellWaterTrust uses minimal cookies for essential functionality. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and understand which referral channels work — none of these analytics tie usage back to your name, email, or phone number.

2. How we use your information

We use the information you submit to:

3. Who we share your information with

Your contact details are forwarded to one vetted partner — an ELAP-certified independent lab or a WQA Certified Installer — who serves the ZIP code you submitted. That partner receives the information for the specific purpose of contacting you about your testing or filtration project.

We do not:

We may share information with service providers who help us operate the platform (Cloudflare for hosting, Resend for email, Google Sheets for record-keeping). These providers are bound by their own privacy obligations and may only use the data on our behalf.

If a matched partner breaches our network rules (e.g. resells your data, contacts you via channels you didn't authorize), we terminate them from the network. Tell us by submitting the form with “Partner complaint” in the notes and we will investigate within 5 business days.

4. How long we keep your information

Active lead records are retained for up to 24 months after submission so we can track the outcome of the match, support disputes, and detect fraud. After 24 months, records are archived in a restricted-access location for an additional 36 months to satisfy U.S. business-record retention norms, then permanently deleted.

You can request earlier deletion at any time (see “Your rights” below).

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, submit the form with the relevant request in the notes field. We respond within 30 days.

California residents have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell personal information.

6. Children

WellWaterTrust is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our site, contact us via the form and we will delete the record.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest (encrypted storage by our service providers). No internet service is perfectly secure; if you suspect your information has been compromised, contact us immediately via the form.

8. International transfers

WellWaterTrust operates from the United States. If you are outside the U.S. and submit information through our site, you consent to the transfer of that information to the U.S.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our service or applicable law changes. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page for at least 30 days.
